Governance
The VPSFOA is governed by an Executive Committee who meet 4/5 times a year in a central location.
VPSFOA Executive Committee Member Role
The committee is elected by the Members of the Association to control and manage the business and affairs of the VPSFO Association to:-
- Support and promote the Association objectives.
- Advocate on behalf of the Victorian PSFOs
- Attend meetings (as requested) by the Association’s Executive
- Set up or join subcommittees, recruiting from the broader field if required. Develop guidelines and shared goals for subgroups
- Attend 4/5 VPSFOA executive meetings per year
- Provide agenda items to the secretary prior to the meeting.
- Be an active participant in decisions and planning.
- Take on a liaison role with a peak Early Childhood Body (e.g. ECIA, FKA, MRC, ELLA, DET, AEU, DHS early years).
- Act as a link between the VPSFOA and the early childhood professional body
Constitution
The constitution for the VPSFOA provides the framework for the association. The current constitution (Own Rules) was adopted at a special general meeting held on April 1st, 2025.
